WDM Device
Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM: Wavelength Division Multiplexing) technology is a technology that transmits multiple wavelengths of optical signals simultaneously in one optical fiber. CWDM (Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexer) is a sparse wavelength multiplexer, also known as a coarse wavelength multiplexer; DWDM (Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexer) is a dense wavelength multiplexer.

The wavelength channel space of CWDM is 20nm; the channel space of DWDM is 1.6/0.8/0.4 nm (200GHz/100 GHz/50 GHz), which is much smaller than CWDM. The difference in channel space also leads to the difference in the bandwidth and capacity that CWDM and DWDM can carry. DWDM modules increase system bandwidth and capacity by using close spaced wavelengths to carry more signals on the same fiber.

Browave’s WDM device apply thin film filter pakcage technology. Packaged by steel tube (e.g. size 3.0x28mm or 3.2x16mm) and applied premium optical collimating and aligning skill that we can sustain good optical performance and reliaibility. Meanwhile, we can also provide multiport function device such as 5 fiber port or 6 fiber port device for efficiency module arragement design and cost-saving solution.


Amplifier Device
The fiber amplifier is an optical amplifier device that directly amplifies the optical signal in the optical fiber communication system.
In the optical fiber communication system, it is not necessary to convert an optical signal into an electrical signal, but directly amplify the optical fiber signal.

Fiber amplifiers can also be divided into erbium-doped (Er) fiber amplifiers, pyridine-doped (Pr) fiber amplifiers and Raman amplifiers. Among them, the erbium-doped fiber amplifier works at the wavelength of 1550nm and is widely used in the field of optical fiber communication industry.

Optical Splitter Device
Browave provided the optical splitter devices including the FBT Coupler, and PLC splitter. The function of a optical splitter is to split one optical signal equally to several output channels. This can be 1 input power split to 2 output power equally or 1 input power split to 8 output power equally.

Browave has our own PLC splitter assembling technology and FBT Coupler assembling technology. With PLC splitter and FBT coupler cascading then a MxN splitter is obtained also.

For PLC splitter, till 2021, we have produced and delivered overseas over 10 million sets of PLCs, obtaining esteemed reputation on quality from major domestic and international network operators.

For FBT coupler, Browave also worked in this product for more than 20 years and has recognized from customers for the quality and long-term reliability.
