Intra-Rack

Following TIA-942 Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard, defines specific functional areas including ER (Entrance Room) / MDA (Main Distribution Area) / HDA (Horizontal Distribution Area) / ZDA (Zone Distribution Area) / EDA (Equipment Distribution Area), depending on access switches layout the cabling structure is divided into four architectures : ToR (Top of Rack), MoR (Middle of Row), EoR (End of Row), and centralized independent switches.

Optical fiber cabling at HDA is from backbone switch cabinet on MDA area to each access switch cabinet, usually use Pre-Terminated for fast cabling, and those fiber optic cables are divided into MPO jumper cable, MPO trunk cable (Trunk cable), and MPO fanout cable (Breakout cable)

  • MPO Jumper Cable: Ø2.0mm & Ø3.0mm
  • MPO Trunk Cable: Ø5.9mm & Ø9.9mm
  • MPO Fanout / Breakout Cable: Ø4.0mm & Ø6.6mm

Data center cabinet application:
Usually used short length optical fiber cable to link each devices inside the cabinet, makes signals transmitted to the Top-Of-Rack switch (TOR) through servers, finally used long length fiber optic cable connect to other cabinet.

  • MPO Jumper cable
  • MPO to LC fanout cable
  • AOC cable

  • MPO jumper cable
  • MPO trunk cable
